Spell check
-
yeah it would be nice to have a spell check feature for posts like this...
Man it makes it hard to read, let alone understand some posts... -
I had to ponder for a minute what a "Mistometer" was. Then I realized she meant "misdemeanor".
1pissedoffdriver Thanks this. -
It should be easier to read now, Mack got some of the words. I got some of the others.
-
Thank you anyway for the heads up Tracie.

My husband also worked for this company, they are a very shody company....My husband is still considered a newbie (3 years)to the industry but not as stupid as they would like you to think.
Heres what happend to him.
My husband started to work for them about 4 months ago, While in Tenn he was told by other drivers that this was not the company he wanted to be at, Most said that miles were good for the first month or so but after that it was over and no Holiday pay, figuring that they may have had a beef with the company he tried to play it down and have a Wait and See approach. Things were good till about 2 weeks befor Thanksgiving. They asked if he would stay out a little longer for the weekend and they would make sure he was home in time for Turkey Day, Wrong! He got Dispatched while he was in Alabama to got to New Jersey, it was to DELIVER On Turkey Day!, Now Whos open for Deliverys like that especially when your caring "Tide" detergent. He said NO quoting what they told him the week befor. He refused the load, and they wouldnt let him come home till he told them he would, He did take the load, but He brought it here in Ohio and it waited to Turkey day to leave.
That was one. The other happend around Christmas, He told them that he had a couple of Doctors appointments that he needed to take care of after the holiday 26th and 27th. These were prescheduled, They said they never got the Qual Comm notice, and then turned around and asked why he needed those particular days, We had to FAX the info in from the Offices to prove that those were Prescheduled and not just at Christmas.
by this time hes getting agervated.
His Dispatcher Got Fired not long after this then they sent him to the Columbus ohio terminal, without giving to much info, lets just say that his truck broke down and needed repairs and it sat at the dealer for a week and a half without him having another Truck to drive, saying that they didnt have another truck for him, Then Fought with him about getting the Break down pay because he was at home and not a hotel an hour a way. That is just a few of the problems we had with this company.
The pay didnt make much sense either, never did figure it out. One week we got 150.00. There miles didnt seem to add up, and He had a lot of trouble with the "TransFlo" WOuld say they Never got them (bills), but NEVER asked for a Log??? Kinda strange dont you think.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. -
I know nothing about this company and have no interest in defending them, but to relate with what my company would do, and to play devil's advocate...
He Got A Misdemeanor (spelling) And Landair Transport immediately Fired Him.this Was Not Even Job Related. He Was On Home time When This accrued.
(usually, it doesn't matter whether you're on the job or not - sort of like if you got a ticket in your personal vehicle, NOT in the company truck - it can still go against you.)
They Also Are Misleading On There Vacation Pay. If You Work For Them For Any Amount Of Years You Will Only Receive 1 Weeks Paid Vacation Even If You Have 3 Weeks Vacation.
(they pay 3 week's vacation for 2 years with the company??? my company paid 1 week for 1 year, 2 weeks AFTER 2 years, 3 weeks for 10 years, 4 weeks for 20 years. you also have to meet certain performance criteria)
they Also Find Ways Of Keeping Your So Called Bonuses.he Was Off Ill And During That Time He Was Misqualified For The Bonus He Worked Hard For.
(when we still had the safety bonus program, if you missed more than 2 days of work a quarter, they started reducing your bonus. if you miss enough days - NO bonus.)
Our Thought Are If Your Looking For A Good Driving Job, Do Notttttt Hire On With Landair Transport Out Of Greeneville Tn.ty For Reading My Post Dont Want Others Scewed Like He Was.[/quote]
(in what way was he "screwed?" or did he just not like the rules/policies of the company?)
