You are very correct... To a point.. We are giving our general opinion.. Would I work for GD/Falcon again? Is hell expected to freeze over anytime soon? All we, or at least myself, are trying to do is give any single person the idea of what to and not to expect. It will be diferent for every driver because we all have diferent needs in our lives.

Our (the drivers as a comunity) biggest problem is that most will lay down, get walked on, and ask for more. I wont lower myself to that. I have a family that I want to know. I plan to have kids, and i want to be there to see them being born, take their first steps, take them to school dances, and graduate high school. Most trucking companys dont give a rats ### if you have a family or not. And when you make them care is usually when you start standing in line at the un-employment office.

What I ask is for every driver to open their eyes, realize want is important in their life, and then ask them selves about the sacrifices they are willing to make to get there. Once you have those ironed out, you can start working for companys and see if they are willing to suit YOUR needs. Just dont back down on whats important to you, because that is what companys expect you to do.

I just want at least 5-600 a week after taxes. Not be on my ### all the time. And get home 46 outta 52 weekends like they say. That's it.
Go ahead and go to Falcon and you will get it then. Try TMC if your smart.

[QUOTE=carterbeauford;1408971]being local to the area, they are known as scumbags. pretty much every one of the bigger local companies in this area is except maybe Yourga.[/QUOTE

Back in 2004 i witnessed a falcon driver pulling a set of doubles get into a fatal wreck going eastbound on 80/90 in indiana, he flew by me like i was standing still(i was going 65), then before i got to the next bend in the road i see a fireball going up over the trees. I came up onto the wreck, seeing a truck on the side of the road with the trailer buckled in half and split wide open with peices of that same falcon truck embedded half way in. The body of the driver was apparently standing next to the truck when falcon came up and impacted the truck, and he got thrown about 70ft further, landing in the road with a chunk of his head missing, and very much deceased. The falcon truck came to rest on the other side of the road with both trailers on fire, and someone from the west bound side of the road was tending to that driver. (Last i heard he was in a mediclly induced coma with burns on 70% of his body, according to the news)

Before that, i witness another one of their drivers also pulling a set of doubles, and READING A HARD-COVER BOOK, weaving around in his lane.

I wish i was making things up, but this is only a couple of things i witnessed from falcon. I will be glad when DOT shuts down that unsafe waste of a company.(and they are in deep with 5 categories deficient on csa)

Have you read all the negative posts on TMC? Firing drivers who accidentally walk on their grass! TMC is all show and no substance-another bad company. Please know what you are talking about. See the posts on here!

I worked for TMC for 17 years. Most of the stuff you hear about them is complete baloney. If someone got fired for walking on the grass, it was because they had been warned a number of times, or got pissy with the person who asked them to stay off it. That company sends big bucks making the terminal area look nice, as opposed to many of these dirt lot crappy companies, and they dont let anyone mess it up. There is no excuse for walking on the grass....1. you are warned up front 2. there are numerous signs and 3. there isnt any need to anyway. there are perfectly good sidewalks going anywhere you need to go at that terminal.

All I can say is... If you say so... They may be a great company to you. Its what we call being a fan boy...

We are getting WAY off topic of this thread. This one is about the sorry excuse of a company named Falcon Transport, DBA GD Leasing..

So I am going to leave it at that..

And before you call me a fan boy of my company... Very far from the truth. I hate many aspects about them. They offer me what I need to support my family, and be part of my familys life, more than once a month (which is far better than many of the bottom feeding companys). And with that, I will leave it at that..

Drivers-DAC is really 'Hireright' by name, a private company out of Tulsa. If there is something on your DAC (you can request on per lifetime free) it has to be fact. Most reports are only copied from what the former trucking company submits. All you have to do is have some proof it is not true (non-citable accidents, taped recordings from dispatch, witness at the time of your termination who will submit a testimony on your behalf and any other kind of proof and it will be take off DAC. They have nothing to do with the federal government. There is also a list of things you can do to fight the companies under the Federal Trade Commission (such as knowing that any company must provide a former driver a ride to their respected state like free of charge etc. Hope you guys look into this and don't let DAC scare you-only private company making money off you.

Apparently Falcon closed down or moved out of it's West Middlesex, PA terminal. I always thought WSEX was its "main" terminal, even though HQ was right across the Ohio line.

A while back I tried to re-hire with them and was declined! Kind of funny cuz i have no tix, accidents, or anything else that would DQ from any other trucking company.

Quit me once shame on you, quit me twice shame on me!
