I went to orientation in tucker, ga in November and was told free breakfast and luch. Was not told about gluc test and sleep apnea as well. Also, if you leave the company before 6 months they take out your travel and hotel expenses. Was promised 3,000 miles per week and never even got 2,000. Sleep apnea machine costs 1,000 and is monitored by their compliance dept and a 3 month medical card. Stay away from marten transport a cheap ripoff company full of false promises. Send you on back hauls for 15.00 and want you to run outlaw as well.

They charged you $1000 for sleep apnea testing ? ....wow is that legal? also if they have the driver sign an agreement to stay working 6 months at a certain amount of miles a week and they don't fulfill that agreement at set amount of miles a week , doesn't that make the agreement nil & void ? ....back hauls for $15.00 ? that's not even a minimum wage ,how in the world did they get that passed you guys during orientation ? ....... It's clear our rookie drivers are bein taken full advantage of because they are not informed on labor laws or bogus agreements with these rotten trucking companies
Call those people and demand your $ back ...sounds like they didn't honor the agreement so they can't keep your $

I do think companies should tell drivers about the sleep abnea test before bringing them in for orientation. Not every driver wants to pay that for a machine and can't afford it with what companies pay and the low miles.I also think because they wasn't informed that carrier should pay for his way back home if that driver chooses not to take the test.

You do know that you have a choice to say 'no' to employment with any company.

Hopefully, the OP will learn through his two prior experiences to ask questions, then ask a few more. If you don't get the answers you're looking for (or don't get some answers at all), keep looking.

Wrong wrong totally wrong. Don't you know that as soon as you set foot in orientation you are handcuffed to a chair and the only way to escape is to chew your own hand off?
