I don't believe you. $100000 for a year net on a lease deal is an absurd claim. Put up the evidence

Is that what you read? I just noticed you quote me and then go on talk about a different subject entirely.

I'd imagine the reason that everyone treats you so poorly, is your less than stellar attitude. Did you really think a carrier as large as Prime was going to kiss your behind for doing your job? I don't understand why you're working somewhere that you hate. Furthermore, I don't understand how you can have any input on the lease when you aren't leasing. You obviously know nothing about how the lease works. Didn't you research Prime at all before you went there? Did you not know about the slow trucks? Is it Prime you hate, or truck driving in general? I'd lean more towards you hate driving and will complain no matter where you're at.

For the record, I never leased at prime, and I haven't worked there for about 2.5 years.

Here's the loads I did and the pay per loaded mile based on what the system say for my week week:
Aurora, Il to New Berlin, Wi 107 miles $4.77
Milwaukee, WI to Champaign, IL 221 miles $2.32
Frankfort, In to Evensville, In 195 miles $2.49
Also did a load out near Louisville going 24 miles that paid over $500.. highly sensitive freight so won't give out all the details.
Fairdale, Ky to Findlay, Oh 267 miles $1.88
Lima, Oh to Vandalia, Oh 63 miles $3.78 (did that load twice)
Vandalia, Oh to Bedford, Pa 331 miles $2.36
Bedford, Pa to Solon, Oh 211 miles at 2.36
Those are the loads I booked for the week, of course actual miles is different with deadhead and such.
    13 drop and hooks 5 live load/unloads

    9 loads in 7 days..

Looks to be 1941 all miles
Revenue will be $4,303 or $2.21 ALL miles

Fuel burnt looks to be about $700 (currently we get .25 off the cash price at Pilot/Flying J)
    Fixed costs are $1100
So revenue after fixed and fuel costs looks to be about $2,500.
and that's with not even working hard.

Monday I start with Sheve, Oh to Hamburg, Ny 242 miles $4.06

I really shouldn't have to SHOW I'm not making up random stuff but just to prove a point I'll post screen shots of loads assigned me to I did yesterday, am doing today and will do tomorrow.

Left to right is: where I'm leaving from (previous consignee) to where next consignee will be, estimated loaded miles, empty miles, LHL Revenue, total Revenue, estimated rate all mile (with headhead), estimated rate loaded miles.

and just to prove this is actually MY load for tomorrow, when a load is assigned to you it adds the empty and loaded miles together and also gives you the reference numbers you need to pick up the load which I cropped out obviously:

I wouldn't leave .48 a mile as a company driver, put $5k down on a new $160,000 Kenworth to lease unless I KNEW for sure I could BANK with working less hard.

Not all leases are bad but you company drivers have mileage pay mentality.. which is how Swift gets away with fleasing drivers for $1.35 or Celadon for $1.18.
This is percentage and the way to go.
I mean c'mon 300 miles for nearly $1000 in revenue tomorrow.. do the math!
And think twice before calling me out thinking I'm making up random loads in fairy land.

oh might as well being nobody will believe I did a 24 mile load for $500 well here's the screen shot of that with the $1.88 load right after it as I said above:

Some make a career out of driving for a company. Others could never do that (myself included).

Some make a career out of leasing on their equipment to a carrier. Others could never do that.

Some make a career with their own numbers. Others could never do that.

Some make a career out of lease/purchase opportunities. Others could never do that.

Can we please stop with the scathing attacks and just agree that there is more than one effective way to skin a cat in this industry? One man's ideal situation is another man's nightmare. That doesn't mean it can't work well for someone else, whether it be the minority or majority, even if you would never think of attempting it.

If you decide to simply not show up for work one day, you lose your company job.

If you become careless with your networking and/or develop a reputation of poor customer service, you won't last long as an owner/op.

If you won't/don't/can't run your rear-end off, then you will lose lose your lease/purchase.

They all have conditions unique to them under which you can thrive or fail. End rant.
