:biggrin_2551:I just have one complaint. I was called by a recruiter who was very enthusiastic sounding and told me I was gonna be driving for them and I could start the driving academy as early as the following monday.I'm new to this and had already been snubbed by CR england and told to apply again in 3 months when I asked why I wasn't hired they just said each application is electronically scored and mine didn't make the cut.I have a dui from 2000 but other than that my record both traffic and criminal is clean.Anyway back to central......Oh I guess I have a complaint with england too. Okay now after spending the rest of the day excited about getting started the next morning I was informed that I wasn't gonna be hired due to it took me a number of years to take the 3 month dui class from the time I got the dui and i couldn't apply until 2012.I think that's the stupidest reason I've ever heard and would think that if that was a problem the #### recruiter would of thrown out my application before he called and gave me the impression that I was Hired... BOO HOO right?don't mean to whine I'll just keep tryin someone's gotta give me a chance right?

How long ago did you take the 3 month dui class?

Most companies don't like those in the last 10 years, and yours is only 8 years old, but it sounds like the class wasn't that long ago.

I took the class in 2006.I will admit when I got the dui my life was in the gutter and it took me a few years to get it together.getting my license back wasn't really a priority and probably saved me from getting another one or even worse. But now I"M sober and am still suffering the consequenses.I'm sure it's for insurance reasons but I just wish someone out there could give me a chance. But then again that's a big piece of equipment to give someone a chance with. Then there's the customers Cargo.......ANYhow like I said I'll just keep tryin

I do not know why it is the company's fault that you do not get hired because of a decision you made to get drink and drive.

Maybe this guy was a newer guy that did not know the compines policy regarding dui's

The company looks at you this way

#1 you choose to drink and drive then get caught.

#2 you choose not to complete the court order classes for as you say several years later .

So in the companies eyes you have had two lapse in better judgment issues so they do not trust you to do the right thing now.

There was no excuse for you to get a dui and then you probaly have no real excuse for not completeing a court ordered class in a timely fashion.

I have seen people get throw in jail for not obeying a court order for not getting the classes done.

There are no excuses for not completing court ordered classes it does not matter if you have to work, you did not have the money for the class, or any other excuse you could think up.

I do not know why everyone that has a dui once, twice, three times, or have felony's on the record try to go into truck driving then p*** and moan when the companies will not hire them.

Alot of the companies will hire a driver with one older dui but there are no excuses to have any.

It also could of been a license issues to due a suspention / revocation on your record.

Ps this is not a personal attack on you.

Like I said maybe the guy was a newer liar and did not know all of the company rules regarding dui's or license issues.

I agree about them not telling you that you have a job before all the paperwork is done.

Did you realize that even though you may get a pre hire from someone down the road that still does not garantee that you will have a job.

A pre hire is only saying well you look good on paper but that does not mean that they have run all of the reports to check your mvr and background info.

The company's most of the time only runs those reports once you are in orentation.

You could try May Trucking they will pre qualify you before they schedule you for orentation.

Just make sure you list exactly what is on your mvr.

see attempting to conceal info on applications you brought the problems on yourself by not telling the whole truth on the application.
It is bad that I had to search all of your posts to find out this info as you try to paint yourself as a person that was done wrong by some companies.

You might try checking with local outfits in your area or try driving straight trucks for a while and prove your self....:biggrin_2554:

A dui will keep you from driving for anyone. Someone should have told you that before you got your CDL.

The propoganda that companies need drivers is mostly a big fat lie. Drivers move around quite a bit but there are plenty of drivers for companies to hire from. Standards at most companies are actually very high.

I have a clean MVR with no points, a completely empty DAC from hireright, no accidents in 6 years, no criminal history at all, 10+ years of experience with over a million miles driven; and still have been turned down by more then 10 companies just because I was self employed for 6 years instead of driving.

When Pam and CRST turned me down I was shocked.
