NPE is a Oregon based company that mainly travels I-5. As with all the other companys, they promise everthing but deliver nothing. All they're trucks have at least 700,000 miles on them which wouldn't be so bad if they serviced them! Constant breakdowns that just get a bandaid and put back on the road. For instance, during a pm service it was discovered that the headgasket was leaking badly. When reported, the manager said that they could not afford to repair it.I said that I would not drive that truck that way especially since 90% of the loads were 40,000 lbs or more and anyone thats drivin I-5 knows that its all hills!!I was told "drive it or leave" Dispatch is horrible,no one to talk to about it,terrible loads/customers,average 3000 mi a week for team, really bad drop yards and only one terminal. Ask any of the drivers...it's bad. I quit!!! You've been warned!!!

My guess is that you were fired. Maybe not but given your comments you were. NPE had a great reputation even up until they wer sold. You could not get in a company truck very easily as they were always staffed. They had more owner operators than they did company trucks. As far as the trucks, yes they were getting old but NPE did not maintain them. They had a truck repair shop that was privately owned that maintained the trucks. I actually still see their old KW's on the road hauling cans.

My goodness, this post is 4 years old! Why revive such of a thing? This is unbelievable.

Because it didn't make sense. I drove as an o/op for them for several years and during this time.
