Be Warned This company has cut back on the shop staff. You will be there all day for service on your truck. The trailers are the same way will load it then bring it to the yard for service. so when your done they have ate up all your time and still want you to del your load the next day. If you cant they want to know why like its your fault. They have Load planers that Have never been in a truck and it shows by the way they set up the loads. I would not have went to work for them if someone would have posted any info on them about the shop cut backs that is the last place to be tied up you dont get paid for waiting on the shop.

You can say that for 99% of the trucking companies. They hire "off the streets" and it goes back to the "Peter's Principle"

Just one day to get your truck serviced? I know companies that will hold you for up to a week before your truck sees the shop. I've been with Dowdy for a pretty long while and have rearly had trouble getting in or out of the shop. Most of the time I get my truck serviced while I'm on time off. I call the shop a day before I come back and make sure the truck is ready so I don't have to wait around for it. If my trailer is in for service I go to bed so when it is ready I'll be ready. You sound like one of those who would rather sit in the drivers room and tell war stories though. What was the excuse for quitting your last commpany? Or the company before that. Just wondering.

yea those guys at dowdy are some real winners. there is some inbreeding going on there in those parts of the country, they will steal your money and not give you hometime. when you go home raymond waters tells you that you need to get back in the truck because thier frieght is more important. my truck broke down and the steering sector broke and ronnie dowdy himself told me to drive it like it is so they can save more money by doing this at thier shop. i told him hell no im not killing my self or others because he wants to save a dollar, well this shop was 80 miles from my house. they told me to find a way home becasue the part wouldnt be there for 3 days. i had to walk four miles and then hich hike home, yes this is how much they care for thier drivers, IF YOU DRIVE FOR DOWDY YOU ARE AND IDIOT
