Actually when I let my FM know he said he had NO CLUE that was the law... Most people don't since so many still do it. If your shipper/cons is right off the highway I am sure you could get in n out with no trouble. I know a few people that do it often but the company they drive for pays big money for the loads so to them its worth the risk. IMO with the traffic and time wasted for the miles and crappy "NYC Pay" its really not worth it. Id much rather be flyin down the interstate racking up miles.

I would drive through Brooklyn in reverse with a 53 foot spread axle before I drive through downtown Pittsburg again.

Loaded in Pittsburgh once. 43K through that city was an absolute nightmare. I remember having to back over a city block and around a building just to get to my dock.
