The girl in our class went on that fleet and has quit already. It was because she couldn't find a consistent babysitter though... or was it <_< > _>

She also had to tolerate joe for most of the school. She spent 1 day with Brian and learned more than in the last 2 weeks with joe.

 

If pay doesnt work out ill just switch to a dedicated route or just go national. I have Dave, he is hilarious and a good teacher so I am happy. She probably couldn't handle being a trucker.

 

She actually was the only one with previous experience. She drove for her cousin who was leased to swift so they wanted her to go through the school to break her bad habits. She learned from him. It was the babysitter situation that ended here career.

 

That sucks....especially when you have no control over it.

 

They got a boost to .31 for reefer an .29 for van. So not sure how they calculate it but I'll take 1000 gross. That will put me at 800 net since I don't need insurance.

 

.29 for van? I started at .32 and I'm due for my 2nd raise in a month

 

You started higher as you are National. National Reefer is .35 I believe. She stated to me that they try to get you at least a minimum of 2000 so I am guessing they try average 2500 but who knows. As long as I can bring home at least 500+ I am happy. School is going great. Since I can shift and turn and do well on the public roads I don't drive to much. Just enough to tweak somethings and practice a little. Next week will be better as we get to back most of the week.

They say every weekend and can also stop home if I go through my house.
