If you are still wondering.... since I was cut loose about 6 months ago I have been given the chance at around 500 miles a day, there have been somedays that were around 3 but it has averaged around 2800-3200 pretty consistently. As far as schedule goes I usually go out for 3 weeks and go home for 4 days.

Who do you work for? Did you go to a truck driving school or was it a company sponsored cdl situation? Did you do teams first before going solo? Sorry, for so many questions. I am trying to get my foot in the door with this industry. Thanks for your response.

You're in the Roehl section so I'm sure it's them.

I have a real newbie question, and apologize profusely for it.

If your averaging 500/d and 3000/w; are you driving just 6d/w during your 3w out, and spending home 4d (logically unpaid) before working the remaining 3d in that week?

-Sleepily (drove hourly decades ago; and I'm trying to figure out what my pay per working period will be.)

I am ony 3rd month solo and average 2400 miles per check. Note that some of my weeks aren't full ones. I am reefer national and am out 3-4 weeks before heading home for a few plus a Guard drill. If you work anywhere and aren't getting what you expect, professionally and calmly ask why. It may be serving you need to change or just bad timing.
