You get $300 after finishing the one week orientation, and $300 a week when you're with your trainer over the road. As for starting pay, it all depends on what division you sign on as. I signed on as a western 11 state solo spot and will start out at $0.28 per mile. I'm half way through orientation at the Fontana, CA terminal right now and so far so good. Very professional company and so far no lies or bait and hook type of shady-ness

I'll be watching this and other Schneider threads closely. Phone interview with them is scheduled for later today with a Jan school start date.

If I am a recent grad how long is oretation and how long is the training process with a mentor

Had my interview today by phone. Needed to complete a form and "sign" it with my mouse. Should get a school start date maybe later today. Classes are to begin in Jan. Should be with a T/E by mid-Feb at latest for my 2-6 wks. Rep says it will all be based on my hours for the 2-6 wks. Maybe a bit of local work, which would be good to get more familiar with loading/unloading.
Time for studying all the driver manual and for the endorsements, TWIC, and passport. Time it's all done, that may hit about $300-400 by itself. -

Look at Schneider's website and see what they are hiring for in your area. Some spots require experience and some don't. I was hired straight from a CDL school with no prior experience at the .28$ rate on a regional route. One of the reasons I chose to go with Schneider was how professional and safety conscious they are and how much they actually care for the driver. So far I have not been let down. -
