Depends on the kind of guy you are. How well have you picked up other new skills in the past? It's just another new job.

I love tanker work. Couple weeks it becomes second nature. Just more stuff to remember then open the doors, close the doors. Heehee

What's OC? The terminal here in Dallas? Oh yea I understand, I don't expect to get through the house during runs, same with when I was OTR flatbed. Kinda miss that life in some aspects more than LTL now.

How much would you say your weekly checks avg?
How long of home time? 2 full days?

Oc= operating center. Or operations center however you wanna say it. It's the home terminal for the region.

    bvx1 Thanks this.

Does anyone know any websites that have training on Bulk? Since I am sitting here in the office everyday with nothing to do, I could study up now.. That way if it works out and I go to Schneider when I get my CDL, it will be ahead of the game when I get to the training piece...

    Thanks all..

Getting to be a tanker yanker again after flatbedding the last 7 years. I start orientation in Houston on the 28th. At least they are actually paying for experience. Starting off at .47 CPM ain't too bad (10+ years). Shoot, it is better than I make now with a better schedule and benefits.

I haven't asked recruiting yet, but how does the LP work on the buk side of the house?

From what I was told a few years ago when I was looking into it, for LP, you mostly load, run like heck and drop the load near the customer. A daycabber usually delivers it. Recruiter and a couple of drivers said this.

Actually that doesn't sound like a bad deal. A lot of time is typically waisted at the consignee.
