My training is going pretty well. It's a cram session and I work lots of hours. I am working with my TE in Charlotte, NC. He's a local driver so I get lots of trailer moves, shifting and traffic. Guess I will be on to SQT before long. How are things for you?

Well, I got back to Indy from Afghanistan last week. All my studying and taking online practice tests paid off. I walked un the BMV, took and passed the general, combinations, tanker, and even the hazmat written test off the bat!! For some reason it took ke a few tries to pass the airbrakes test. Which surprised me.. I took my fingerprints the other day and will get my physical done this week. I still need to go to a cdl school and was thinking about SAGE since they say one student per truck.. At least i can focus on the pretrip and road test since all my written tests are done.,

How long after SQT did you wait to get a truck? What's it like? Freightliner I guess.

The good thing about the local part is it sounds like you should be able to do a lot of backing and maneuvering at customers. Much better than going out with an OTR trainer that has 2 loads for the entire week. Downside is that you won't be able to practice as much trip planning, etc. Are you going to be a local driver or OTR?
