Any chance you will journal your experience over the coming year and share with the rest of us?

Very cool! I did it a couple of years, and regret leaving it.

I can only surmise that you went with Schneider because it was an easy qualify for the truck. I'm sure you know that going percentage eventually is going to increase your revenue significantly. I made the mistake of going with mileage pay when I started up with my present co, mainly because I wasn't sure which way to go. Luckily, I came to my senses and went %. I can fully understand the mileage pay angle as opposed to %. Too many deadhead miles can hurt you. If/when they go the % route! I hope you will do a comparison ASAP. Don't be surprised at the differences. It may shock you. But experience is a great teacher. It's going to be interesting what the % rate they will offer in future. That truck payment is steep, to say the least, so enjoying the maximum income is imperative.
    Good luck.

    hal380 Thanks this.

Yes I have run both % and mileage in the past as an O/O, though with 2 different carriers so I can't really compare rates. I will have 7 months of numbers about the time they offer the Choice program so I will have a good base to work from.
