$1.68 on ALL miles, including dead head, since I moved to the NE in July of last year. That is the real deal, it can be done. But you are correct, it is not the norm....

Maan maybe i need to start running in the NE. With my truck note coming out every month, i can say i net around 10k a month, and gross around 17.5k a month. I have to work just about a full week for that lol. Highest gross was 5500, lowest gross 3200

And me personally i go where i want to go, not where the money is at. Ive took some trips up to PA, but far as looping around the NE over and over? Nah ill pass. Ive done that too much as a company guy

I hear you Eggo, I can do it for a month or two, then I gotta go for a while, PA or central NY not to bad, but not any further NE, it gets too congested for me. I like doing more miles and fewer loads per week. This week 3 loads, next week 2 loads booked, with room for a short one. Less can go wrong, like canceled loads.
EggoTrucker and skyviper73 Thank this. -
Yeah I have ran the NE exclusively for 2-3 weeks straight a few times, while the money is good, the crazyness up there can be a bit much. I will hit it again soon I'm sure. The draw of the cash can be too much to turn down lol, but after a couple of weeks running around up there, I have to get out. Ipogsd I hear ya on the canceled loads, I have had more loads cancel since Jan. 1 than I had from May up to that point. Crazy I tell ya.

I can't even remember the last time I took a load for less than $1.40 all miles including deadhead... oh yeah that one load I left Florida with when I went there to visit family lol.
I've been in the Northeast three times and each time I got out for over $1.40 all miles.
I'm leaving Marcy, New York today heading to Ohio for $1.53 all miles.
Could go right back into the Northeast for well over $2 if I want to from there.greyweulf Thanks this. -
And, hey, no doubt you pay the price with traffic and whatnot. Me, I'd rather stay down here where it's sunny and fairly uncongested and run my little bit of freight. But, hey, that's why they call it the Choice Program, right?
Rock on, Sadwar....sadwar Thanks this. -
I'll escape the NE again... Probably near the end of March, go visit the family in AR and FL... That's what's great about Choice, we can all do what we want to do....
Roll on.... -
I love it when a drop and hook turns into a four hour and counting live load....
