Thx, im a hard runner! I have no issues running 600 miles a day! I dont have as much experience as some of the guys on this tread but i have two years over the road and 1 year local. I know enough about the industry to understand how it all runs, with that being said, by all means am I saying I know it all, because I dont. I miss running over the road and I feel like I could make more money doin it. I just dont know if the lease option is good for me and I dont want to make a huge mistake. All you hear is how everyones lease left them broke and there not getting pay checks in stead there always in the whole. Dont get me wrong 95 percent of them failed because of themselves, I dunno I guess you coukd say im nervouse like you guys were i just dont have the kahunnas to squeez the trigger and see for myself.

Yeah I was the same way..over thinking everything.
    But that's GOOD!

The difference with Schneider and the other companies is YOU are the dispatcher.
In other words if you piss a dispatcher off he can't starve you out.

YOU control where, when and how much you run for.
Keep that in mind when doing your research.

From what I have picked up over the time I have been here Schneider is kind of different then most L/Ps its more about working smarter then harder.

Thats what is getting my attention is the freedom to choose my load. Also the percentage rather than the $1 a mike 99 percent of the companys are paying. I really like the lease here at Schnider, so thats where the questions are coming from. I have 5 kids at home with my wife, haveing a weekly paycheck is an absolute must, thats another reason why Im really hesitant on keasing, but reading here on the treads it seems as though no matter what theres a good amout of revenue coming in.

I will say SNI gives drivers every thing to succeed except the drive and discipline a driver must have. I will say even though we get 65% every one of us looks at the RPM or rate per mile that is how trucking is and always will be by the mile. With choice we choose the best RPM we can for our business.

Everybody get into business with every intention of being successful and willing to do what ever it takes. What you need to ask yourself is why did the 95% fail and why will you be different? Unless you can answer those questions, you need to stay away.

Schnieder's percentage lease doesn't guarantee success, in and of itself it doesn't really move the bar one way or the other ... nor does a mileage based lease ensure a high degree of failure ... it's going to come down to your ability to manage a business ... not just knowing trucking, not just willing to work hard ... but knowing how to apply those skills and that knowledge to running your business.

But your biggest issue is that you have 5 of them ... you may not be able afford a hiccup or the natural ups and downs that come with a business.

    mike0812 Thanks this.

Hey thx, I'm better off finding a good company to run for! The problem is most of these companys dont pay, then there are some that pay good. I guess let the search begin. Lol
