Ayyyy im not hatin at all man, I'm happy for ya and I've always said I liked SNI choice, or the idea of it. I got my numbers from guys that post here, and sure there are good paying loads but most of the ones I've seen are on the cheaper side, but I also said that it's not all about the money, it's the freedom and to me that makes it feel like I'm getting 10.00 a mile every trip lol. I'm about to be 25 aswell and I have just over a year, there's a thousand different ways to make money driving trucks, you just gotta find the one way that you like and stick with it.

Ive tossed coming to SNI back and fourth for awhile, and up until a few months ago I decided to just save my money to buy my own truck, because I just don't like the idea of leasing from a company, not at all saying that LP deals are bad, just not for me. And everyone is different with different goals.
and I really was pickin on ya more than anything with the whole cheap loads and high payment comment, kinda revenge for your post about me when I was THINKING of leasing at prime lol.

Anyways glad to hear that yor not burried under snow somewhere make a thread already so we can follow your adventures, good luck man and stay safe out here

LMAO! well I remember you asking all those Prime lease questions before.
Honestly the numbers you were posting at UZ were awesome, I wouldn't go anywhere if I were you.

As for crappy rates.. sure there's TONS of cheap freight here but that doesn't mean you have to take it. Got a buddy at Landstar and he's telling me there's tons of cheap freight there also.
I did around $2.58 on about 800 miles on my last 3 loads that brought me to eastern, PA starting from Louisville, Ky. Probably going to eat dirt coming out of here though lol.
What I didn't say before is that I must spend at least 2 hours a day on the load board. Every time I stop and before bed and when I wake up I check the board.
Sure it would be nice to just book my entire week ahead of time in 15 minutes but I'd get sorry rates if I did that.
The trick is to catch those new hot loads that pop up before anybody else does, that's when you get the big $$$$$

This is usually how my day goes on choice....

Lol the play by play is awesome
it sounds like your doing really good, I wouldn't mind spending time looking for good loads, im sure the northeast pays the best. How is the Midwest? When I leased I did good in that area, also in the northeast but I hated going there.

The best is loads going into the Northeast... you gotta use your brain a bit to plan your way out.
Usually includes going to VA and then find your way out of there or around Buffalo you'll find loads going west that aren't bad sometimes. If you try to take a load from MA, CT or even PA out west you're looking at $1 a mile or less 99% of the time.
Financially the smart way to run for me is staying in WI, IL, MO, IN, MI, KY, TN & OH. I've noticed if I take loads staying within that area I can get good rates. My plan is to stay in that region until I build up some money and get bored.
I hate the Northeast for many reasons but one is because it sucks trying to get out of here for an okay rate. Heck if I'm in east PA, I'd take $1.30 to eastern Ohio and that ain't even there.
Last time I was here I drove from PA to NY and back for 11 days waiting for a load to get me out of here. I did okay running that lane but the hills drove me nuts lol. Eventually got a load from Rochester to Memphis for $1.61 after 11 days!
If the rates are high enough I get lured in like I just did. I was like OKAY West Virginia.. no more east.. no more east go west go west. Oh crap here's a load for $3.41 all miles going 170 miles to Allentown. #### suckered me in again. There's a lot of freight here but staying in the Northeast.

I couldn't agree more..yes there will be crappy freight but like you said fw landstar does too...just the freedom to go where you want when you want and make whatever you want....that's freedom of choice and it's priceless....nothing beats freedom.

Yes the freedom of go and do whatever whenever is priceless.

and I'm getting the heck out of the Northeast before this snow storm comes and I don't have no dispatcher telling me no or "theres no freight"
