does Schnieder orientation include a med screen? and if it does, do they measure your neck? I know that Schnieder has a great policy for apnea, but I guess what i am wondering is will they bring you on if it is discovered during orientation? I have never been diagnosed with apnea, but i have a thick neck and a bit of a weight problem, so i know on paper i am a candidate

They measure necks here BUT if it's discovered you just need to get those sleep machine and you're good to go

not sure if there have been changes the last couple years but there is a sleep apnea survey you will take not long after coming aboard. Befroe you even leave home for orientation , you get sent for your med card. If you are to be tested it will come from those two events.
research the totality of symptoms. have the list in hand. ANY doctor worth their license is going to refer to ALL symptomology to determine if study is needed. not some BS arbitrary cues.
Not for nothing, I was tested before I got my cdl. Best thing I ever did. Life saver for sure. -
Everyone gets a brand new dot physical the first day now. If the survey indicates you might have sleep apnea they will set up testing and go froom there.

Yep they will send you for a sleep study if your neck is bigger then 17 inches. Had someone in my orientation that had to go for it. they had him do all the class and the ride along, sign papers and everything then went on thursday night for sleep study dont know the outcome but I think they let him drive after.
