Very excited to be joining the OrangeCrew!! I will be in Dallas 4/7 to take care of orientation and training! I am NEW to the industry so any words of advance are appreciated! Starting Regional for now but thinking of the Costco GiG out of San Antonio, TX since that's where I live. Advice?

    Don't drink the Orange kool-aid!!!

Kidding. SNI isnt a bad company. My advice is this, put in a year and if after that you're questioning your options then look around.

Watch your mirrors and if you need help, don't be afraid to ask them. After what I saw in training at SNI...trust me when I say questions are welcome.

Its incomplete, but check out my SNI experience post. Hopefully soon I'll have a chance to finish it, but they have kept me busy and that is most definitely a GOOD thing.

...just be...cautious when taking their sleep apnea survey thing.

    Good luck!

Don't be afraid to get out and look no matter how many times you have to do it. There is no shame in doing several pullups while backing, a lot better than backing into someone or something.

Appreciate that your training academy is barely an introduction.
You will still be learning how to use the Qualcomm and workflow for weeks after you are on your own.
Don't expect big checks at the start. Expect to go slow and expect to often be confused, lost, frustrated and in need of a toilet.
Make your safety and personal bliss your major concern. If you're safe then your truck and trailer are safe; if the truck and trailer are safe then the public is safe.
Go slow, relax, be nice to others and most of all be good to yourself...don't eat the corn dogs and carry your own stash of high quality toilet paper.

I used to drive for GTI but do to a family member fighting brain cancer i left to take care of him till he lost his ten year fight. So back to square one with driving again. Would not mind driving for Gordon in their heavy haul fleet or go back to the Canada fleet again. But with Heart land buying them out. I'm Leaning hard on SNI I think both are good but i need more information about SNI before I really put my self in their equipment.
