Why? What's wrong with the regular handle? I'm so sick of fighting with these seized up rusted, non functioning pieces of shhhhhggggarbage.

Try backing up GENTLY against the pin, and while you are "slipping" the clutch to keep pressure against the pin set your brakes to hold it against the pin then TAKE IT OUT OF GEAR and get out and try again. As 5th (and 6th) wheels wear this is about the only way to get them to release, also you might want to have a little grease put on it, never heard of anyone breaking anything from too much grease. I'm just sayin...

He's talking about the ratcheting landing gear crank handle SNI installs on their trailers, not the 5th wheel LOL. They have the name "6th wheel" on them. These things are the biggest piece of **** on the planet. I thoroughly enjoy burning off pent-up frustration beating the living **** out of these things with my sledge hammer every time I run across one that is siezed up. Which is 9/10 of them. They last a few months on the brand new trailers then rust and road grime take their toll. Sure, if we all carried WD-40 and hit each and every crank every time we dropped a trailer they would probably be OK. But SNI doesn't provide me with WD-40 by the 5 gallon bucket so that's not ever going to happen.

Thats right. I recall seeing that sticker now. Yeah, I'm kinda over beating the snot out of them frustrating as they are. Figure it only makes it worse for next guy. Just tap hard enough to get it to move these days. Also found that expression of frustration doesn't help ME in the end. Kinda get an anger hangover. Seek to minimize that stuff. Reserve it for office staff now!!!!
