Help 2 Lumper Policy

I worked for SNI a while back for about 7 years. Thinking of returning. One of my big gripes was their "no lumper" policy. Has that changed or are they paying for lunpers now?

only if it is on the qualcomm message that it is approved, and if it on night shift, make sure you get your appoveal code from your regual STL or you WILL NOT get it back. i drove 8 months for them and all but 1 load was lumper approved, one wasnt on the qualcomm but i called in the my slt and complained abotu hurting my back on a old trl and it was almost better and i didnt need to be pulling on stuff unless he wanted to find someone to come get the trk because i was in the hospital, lol it was approved
if your going in as company, better be ready for
beep, beep beep,. beep beep beep
beep, beep beep,. beep beep beep
beep, beep beep,. beep beep beep
beep, beep beep,. beep beep beep
beep, beep beep,. beep beep beep

oh, and you cant read the qual comms now if your solo unless the parking brake is on, boohoo, lol

Thanks for the info. BTW, I've been dealing with this qualcomm issue for years.

Lumpers

I drove fopr Schneider National back in 2000. It's a good company over all. I never had a problem getting lumpers approved. My biggest problem was their over speed and idle policies. When the guy on the radio in Laredo, Tx says it's 94 degrees and the truck says it 89 so you can't idle and have to sleep in the heat, there is a big problem. You can't get adequate rest when your sweating all night and wake up every 30 minutes. Or when your in sitting Salt Lake City and it's 35 degrees outside and they wont let you idle because it's not below 30 degrees, there is a problem. When the cruise control is set and you go overspeed on small hill again there is a problem. Maybe they've fixed it by now, maybe not. The answer they kept giving me was; go buy your own truck then you wont have these issues. Thats NOT how you should take care of the people who are making YOU the money. So I went on to greener pastures.

U can turn the beep off, on your qualcomm, i was told that as long as u don't have pressure on gas peddle even if it beeps and reg on QC it goes in to the same cat as exsv overspd... doesn't count against u... at least thats what an OSR told me.. never had a prob gettin a lumper aprvd, eather

As long as you call your "driver manager" BEFORE you agree to the lumper, you can get an authorization to get reimbursed, but sometimes its just best to empty the trailer yourself, as SNI takes their sweet time to get your money back. The QC has a volume button on the left, so you never have to hear that annoying beep ever again, except when you get a new message....

I've never had problems getting reembursed for lumpers. I always get the money back on the next check as long as I send the receipt in before Monday 1700.
