Srt Rush To Judgement

I Had Accident And Was Terminated-after Being There 5 Yrs Accident Free. After The Citation ,i Went To Court And After Reviewing The Whole Matter The Judge Dismised The Ticket. Srt Safety Already Had My Dac Charged As Preventible/reportable.........if You Don't Think It Ruins Your Life Try 1 Mistake With This Company. I Rebuttled It But To No Avail.the Answer From Them Was "it Costs More To Fight With A Lawer Than If We Just Settled, where A Big Company And Have No Time For This" So Ya Get A Bad Dac...i Guess They Have No Respect For The Law In Its Findings By Trained Professionals ,and Play God All On There Own...don't Exspect Fair Play From There Safety Dept You Will Wind Up With Scars On Your Back!!!!!!!!

I think if you have a finding from the court. I would get that judgement and make copies...Anytime you fill out an application I would submit the court report as evidence on your behalf....

From all I've heard about the DAC, I'd get a lawyer and try to get this fixed. It's quite black and white so it shouldn't be that difficult.

Why do you have to work for a company that subscribes to USIS (DAC)? If it's important to work for one of these companies then it is important to fight it.

If its not on your MVR, with the other companies it's mostly a non-issue.

Some companies won't hire you if you have had any accidents whether or not you were at fault but there are companies that will hire you based on your experience and mostly unblemished record

just about all major companies now use DAC , chances are that if they dont , they are an oulaw company . I for the last three years have been fighting with DAC . it does not matter what the police say , the courts , witnesses pictures or any type of evidence you may have in your favor , if a company wants to stick it to you using DAC , they will and they will get away with it. I have spent hours , days months and now years reaserching DAC , they are FOUL and the companies that use DAC are foul .Even though the FMCSA makes the rules regarding accidents and incidents and they are al in black and white , FMCSA will not back you up so dont waste your time talking to them .Just like everything else that is bad in this industry, nothing will change until we stand up and stick together but , that will never happen I hate to say it but its the truth . we have the power to change this industry and make it what it should be but yet we cant get 100 drivers to stick together .
Forget about contacting DAC , they dont want to hear it .

dac and the Trucking Companies

Wildtiger , I am still trying to figure out what you are talking abut in your post , You dont seem to understand about DAC and these trucking companies . if you do reaserch , you will find that DAC screws drivers on a daily basis. There is a money factor involved between DAC and the trucking companies that us DAC . I have on my DAC 5 accident /incidents that were put there by the first Co I drove for . the company refuses to give any details at all to either DAC or any perspective employers . in all incidents, there were no other vehicals involved , no tickets issued and in two of the incidents the damage was minor ( a broken mirror ) from a low hanging tree branch . according to the FMCSA , the things that are on my DAC are not accidents and after talking to many people who deal with this type of thing my DAC entries are incidents and non preventable . DAC says they have done an investigation when i fact all they did was call , ask if the information that was supplied was true , the answer they got was yes and that was the end of it . Now you tell me , what kind of an investigation was that . The company that made these entries is claiming damage to the truck in most of these cases and there was no damage . if there was damage I would have been cited by the police . there are no pictures , no insurance reports , no insurance reporting agent , nothing . in the final case it was told tothe safety staff by the company mechanic that what had happend :WAS NOT DRIVER FAULT " and it was documented to corporate . And after all of this , this mess still remains on my DAC now you explane to me why if these accidents/incidents were so bad , then there should be all kinds of pictures , repair bills , tickets from police , insurance reports and they should have no problem telling a perspective employer details of each and every case . I will let you search to find out how DAC works with these companies . Dont think for one second that DAC is on the side of the driver. If they were then why are they constantly being sued and dragged into court .

outlaw company? somebody has been listening to big company polatics way to long there are a lot of reputable companies that don't rely on the DAC. I worked for SRT in 2001-2002 and they ran more "outlaw" then most and they used the DAC. While I didn't get screwed by their safety dept their load planners sucked and Tony is a prick

The problem with DAC is not the report they have, it is the lack of information with the report.
It doesn't have anything to do with your MVR it has to do with what a company is able to say about you.
If a company puts on your DAC that they terminated you due to an accident then they put this statement on your DAC "Released for Safety Reasons", then you will have a hard time getting a job. All major carriers will tell that they/or there insurance company can not hire you for insurance reasons. If you were a company driver (I don't know how they treat O/O or Leasers) you will told that you must drive with an O/O for so many months, accident free before they will even hire you.
