Every location that Swift goes to has a location code. These show up in various places on the Qualcomm (QC); the most obvious is in the lower right corner of the navigation screen when routed to a dispatched location. This is the code that starts with the "@" symbol.
So where can you find these codes?
If you pull up a location on your Dispatch screen (in the Navigation section), you get a Location Details screen. It's the one with the green Get Route button. It gives a Customer Code, among other things.
Another way to get these codes is to be at (or near) a location, and while in Navigation, do Menu -> Where To? -> Points of Interest -> Trucking -> Customers Nearby. While not the greatest way to get you TO the place, it will let you get BACK to the location if you note the code.
There is a way to get a code for most major truck stops. I'll cover that in a bit.
So, how do you USE the code once you have it?
Easy! When in Navigation, Menu -> Where To? -> Location Search, and enter the code. It's the same place where you enter an address.
Before I go on about finding the truck stop codes, I need to explain a bit about the types of codes. There are two major types that I've found. One is a numeric code, such as @212178, and the other is a fuel point code, such as @fuel_FP138. (The codes are not case sensitive.) By the way, both of these codes point to the Jonestown, PA terminal.
Now, here's the secret for finding a truck stop. Take, as an example, the TA in Greencastle, PA. (Which happens to be where I am as I write this.) Its code is @fuel_PA429 (along with a couple of numeric codes, which are probably for the shop). See that PA429? That's the Comdata Merchant Code, and that CAN be found online! Go to:
www.gocomchek.com
and fill out the form. Don't get too specific; the city alone is usually enough. Pick the truck stop you want from the list, and the Merchant Code will be right there at the top of the page.
If you're looking for a Love's, their app has the Comdata merchant codes for most (not all) of their stores. Find the store you want, and select the Store Features. The station codes are at the bottom. This, by the way, is how I first made the connection between the Comdata code and the Swift fuel point code.
Advanced Qualcomm: Routing with Swift "@" codes

Now, I can use some "crowdsourcing". Lots of holes in this table of terminals! If you are at one of these terminals, please get the info from the QC and post it here. I'll update the table.
Put "@fuel_" (without quotes) before the FP### codes; i.e. @fuel_FP164.
Note: Most of the numeric codes came from the Drop Yard sheet available at any terminal.

Thanks for starting this thread MsJamie. This will be very helpful.
-
thats interesting and I have never noticed it
how I find places is typing in "Pilot, City, State" and usually can find some answers doing that. -
And with the RM it is just a few clicks to find anything near you, or along your route.
No need to stop and type.
The info provided by the OP is, however, very useful.
Thanks, MsJamie. -
I wanted to get me a RM but since im local now I dont need one, if I ever go back otr I will sure get one though.

That was the plan, anyway... Turns out that the Edit button goes away soon after posting.
