Personally I find your Pollyanna comments offensive. I hope you find yourself unemployed at 60 years old. Enjoy the dog food which you will probably be able to afford on " special" days. Enjoy the prospect of no food for the next few days. Enjoy the terror of knowing the next place you will sleep in a few days is a homeless shelter. If you can figure out how to get there. If they have room. If you want to know what an arrogant dirtbag looks like go find a mirror.

Well I'm glad you did not collect unemployment. And its good that you did take a job at the gas station. Many, wheather over qualified or not, wont take some job just to get back on their feet. You were willing to do that. That being said, why was it 11 months before you came to that decision?

So loose some weight, get your dental work done, work on hygeen ishues. There are plenty of jobs that dont hire based on looks. No one cares what a warehouse worker looks like. If your not good at interviews, go tot the library, get some books on it and learn how to do it right. Yes, finding a carer and work has been relatively easy for me, but I make my own luck. When the chips are down, I figgure out a way to move forward. Its nt my recomendation, but anyone, regardless of looks can go to a company that pays for cdl school and be makeing 30k+ a year with in a month. A year later the change companies and make way more. Anyone can do that regardless of looks. If they cant pass a DOT exam, then they should work out and change their health.

The person with the PHD shouldn't live outside their means. Over qualified or not, they need a rainy day fund. I have a college degree and im driving a truck. Im over qualifieed for being a truck driver, but i stil make good money doing it. Your not a victom of crookster banks.....Just because they offer you a certain aount of money doesn't mean you need to take it. IF you take a deal spreading yourself thin, then loose your job, that's not the banks fault. You agreed to repay them. If someone offered you a 1 million dollar loan would you take it? You prob shouldn't since you would never be able to pay it back. There is some personal responsibility, regardless of what the banks offer you.

As for scabs doing work cheaper...thats business. As a business owner, why would i pay more for someone to do the same thing. If the higher cost person wants to work for me, they need to provide better quality work, or some other value. If the 2 canadates are the same, there is no reason to pay more. With a PHD there are tons of academic jobs available. Now, the person may not want that job, but there are plenty of better options then mc donalds for a PHD. Yea they may need to a take a job below there qualification. But, thats the world we live in.

You need to check on those facts. Circuit city and compusa got bough by tigerdirect. Although many retail stores closed, jobs were created in their warehouses and offices as the online store grew. So this was a merger, not companies going out of business. BB&B as well as linens n things are both in business and have tons of retail locations. Maybe a store near you closed, but they are no out of business. As for airline pilots, yea their pay sucks...but then learn another trade and leave the industry. If enough of them do that, supply and demand will raise the rates of remaining piliots. Just like trucking, there are better and worse companies to work for in aviation.

Even if i disagree with some of you, i would never wish that you loose your job and go homeless. Wishing that on anyone is just mean. I don't wish anyone is unemployed. I hope they can take some job and not be unemployed. I'm not hoping any of you fail, Im just not buying the excuses for you failing.

And If i called anyone an arrogant dirtbag on this forum I would be banned so fast. Consider your self lucky that the mods must like you.

In answer to the OP, a friend of mine got his banks to sign and noterize one of the letters, (he wrote it and just had the sign it.) The banks can see his accounts and verify no regular deposits and thus would vogue for him.

This is so sad and true. Here it is the year 2014 and there are still families that are having multiple numbers of children. I have actually come across families in this day and age that are double digit families, that is 10 or more kids.

Keep in mind that NOT all large families are being supported by the taxpayers. Many of them are very self sufficient and do NOT collect any subsidies at all.

However, there are still quite a few large families that are being subsidized by the taxpayers, due to the inability of the main breadwinner to earn enough money to cover even the most basic needs.

Not only is the job market unable to accommodate large growing families, the housing market is not set up for them either. Many large families are living in substandard housing, in very cramped tight spaces with only 1 bathroom for everyone to use, all too often in moderate to high crime areas of the city.

Over the years, not only have I come to appreciate HEALTH and FREEDOM, but also appreciate PRIVACY, in every manner, shape, and form. Thus comes part of my signature:

Health, freedom, & privacy - 3 priceless treasures: all 3 of them go hand in hand.

    A21CAV,

Do NOT wish anything bad on anyone. It will come back to haunt you. Life has a way of doing that.
