I have noticed that when I came back from vacation that after I have been off for 34 hours it no longer gives me the choice if want to accept or reject the 34 hour reset. Am I missing something or did this happen. I always rejected if it was the end of the week and knew that I was picking up hours off recap.

Yes the 168 hour rule has been lifted for the time being. You can take as many 34's as you want in a week now. No sense in rejecting one now.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Yeah, no longer need to accept a 34.
Since you can take as many as you want to now again (for now).

Let's face it, it's going to be changed back again.

I hope the 34 hour rule stays as is and they don't change it back to that previous mess.

when they run me like how i like to run i use my 70 up in 6 days then take a 34 and do it again. Going back to the old way would cost me money :(

i like when i can run 500-600 miles a day when runs allow. With the old limits doing that screws you in the long run, doing only 400-450 a day just feels lazy to me.

Can't you run that way with either system?
Aside from the new systems requirement of 2 1-5 AM periods, of course.

there is also the 168 hour rule. one reset every 7 days. If you use your 70 in 6 your 34 just became a 58.

As a suggestion, you may want to reconsider how you manage your hours a little. You can easily run the miles you want and never do resets. Make Mac9/22/34 your friends to control how Swift runs you and adjust your timing. Personally I hate to sit..I go out usually for 5 weeks, run only recap hours after the first week then take 4 calendar days off.

I never do resets, avg 2800-3400 a week consistently and am generally left alone to do my thing. I don't worry about Swifts routing or fuel stops too much as I manipulate the "system" to give me the safest and most efficient use of my drive time and I've never been late.

My DM is awesome and pretty much turns a blind eye to some things I do as my trucks productivity exceeds the performance criteria set for our fleet as a whole. My truck earns Swift (and me) money 7 days a week for 35-40 days straight with no down time vs 6 days down during that time if I were doing resets. That's a big reason I'm allowed to take four full calendar days off without turning the truck in...and no grief about it.

I'm not bragging, just saying that there's money to be made easily by keeping the truck moving..plus you'll quickly attain and maintain platinum ranking. You'll get Mac30 options, a nice hefty quarterly bonus and BETTER loads. The majority of my loads are JIT, HiVal and Hazmat. Most are 900-2200 mile hops. I have gotten burned lately on short crap when I get too close to Chicago, Lancaster or Columbus. Mac30 helps control that somewhat.

If a Company driver can't take home $900-$1150 a week consistently, running OTR, something's not quite right.
I've seen your posts on the "other" Forum too...I'm sure you'll do well!!
