eagle pays by the load and splits.Out of town loads and local loads. Its like working at UPS u got to hustle so u can do a least 5 loads a day--$200-$250 a day.

Yeah I'm just waiting till I turn 23 in a few days then calling the guy at eagle so we can talk specifics. I still have yet to be able to reach someone at gemini via email or phone calls. So I'm guessing they either didn't get my application, or they aren't interested in hiring me.

Jw do u live in Ocala? If so are u interested in getting back into foodservice? I work at sysco in ocoee in the warehouse but I know are drivers make bank would be good drive but worth the $$. Also there is a shuttle yard in Ocala n if spot opens up u could work outta there n wouldn't have to drive to ocoee anymore.

With Gemini you will deliver only to the Loves locations, with Eagle you will deliver 100 different places. I think that I would prefer Gemini.

Eagle is a pretty good company. Ive been with them for 3.5 years now. Some of the info on their site is outdated. I run out of the Charleston SC term. and our MINIMUM guarantee is 850 (5 day/wk) workers and 950 (6 on 2 off) drivers. But that's just what your promised if its slow. We normally make over the minimum very easy each week. I avg over 1100 each week working 5 nights and not busting my ###. Pretty easy work hauling gas. Some weeks during the winter months there just isn't enough work to keep us busy so some night you will sit home or come in and run 2 loads and get off early. THATS when the guarantee 850 0r 950 kicks in. That's better than 0. PEACE

I appreciate it. There's 6 others that applied for the position though the guy I talked to wants me to come in for an interview when I get back home early November.

I don't have the best job record, I've jumped around a bit. He brought that up and I was able to explain why I changed jobs like I did. At least he was understanding.

I'm really hoping to get that job, I told him I don't just want a job, I want a career with Eagle.

You'll like eagle. It's a good place to start for fuel hauling. Been with em for a lil bit now. Nights is the way to go. $25.00 for night/shift pay an weekends is $35.00. You work 5 days a week an get about $200 just for showing up to work with nights and weekends. Plus weekends are busy an you make your money on them nites. You get $800/week grantee for 3 months then it drops down to 650/week. But you will make more. Even in the slow season. It's a lil work but don't rush take your time check an recheck your hook ups. Good luck to ya guy. Hope ya get inn.

Loves owns Musket Corp. Haul lots of ethanol out of train yards. Not sure about back East. They are trying to corner ethanol hauling in DFW. They haul to many racks within 200 mile radius. Them and Frontier are in huge rate war. We don't get into that. We haul ethanol for Exxon and couple others. If they cut rates we will let them have it. Finished product they haul to Loves only. Drivers had always been happy. Seems safety and pay have started to make some unhappy.

I am going for an interview May 1, with Eagle in Ashland Ky. We are re-locating to be closer to my wifes family. I have experience hauling gas and diesel. They have the same guarantee of 800$ pay per week while training but I have not been told nor have I asked about if that guarantee is also when it gets slow. I hope that is a company wide policy, .....Is it?
