I applied at Roberton's today in Rialto. I asked around about the overall satisfaction with the company. One guy told me when I asked how he likes it "ummmm....well.....", then changed the subject. That's what he told me. Another guy said "you applying for a job?", when I told him yes he said "good cause this overtime is driving me nuts, we need drivers". I said that's the first time I seen people complain about OT and he said "yeah well when it is every single day it does a number on you. You are as good as hired. You got your cdl you are as good as hired. Watch I'll be seeing you around."

Greetings, just wanted to sign up for the forum and answer a few concerns regarding the company.
i am currently an employee driving a powder train for robertsons. I have been with them since January 2014, I came in with my license so I don't have a contract commitment like you sign when you don't have your CDL and you get it there. I'm just here for the year experience and I am expecting to bounce...they start you off at 23.50% per load also give you an hourly wage of $13 but that's all calculated at the end of the week. I am averaging between 65-70 hours a week.
First 2 weeks are paid training weather you have your license or not. They make you take their version of the DMV test. Once you pass that you'll be offered truck and start time.
The hiring process is a delayful due to soo many ppl applying so I would apply on a weekly bases especially if you got your CDL. When I first applied I was told they throw them out after a week so if you want a better chance apply weekly. Just a heads up!
I guess it's a good place to get your experience if you don't wanna go cross country. Expect to work nights
Good luck!! Any other questions feel free to ask awaybottomdumpin Thanks this. -
i actually start at robertsons next week hopefully all goes well.

Welcome aboard! Did they tell you what you where gonna be doing exact? And where will you be based out of?
-
I'll gonna be based out of the Rialto plant on alder ave...and sounds like I'll be doing what you posted above...how do you like it so far? Is the pay over all good at the end of the week? I tried messaging you but I don't have enough posts.

I like it so far, I am doing powder here.
at the end of the week after 65-70 hours I'm getting $800 a week after taxes, you start making the money after 40 hours everything else is premium pay
Compared de to my old previous job this is double what I was making there. I'm happy with the money but I want more now that I'm gonna have that year experience
im im outta Rialto aswell, any idea what your hours will be?
