im not a fan of the energy drinks, but those 5 hour energies made a believer out of me, no caffeine shakes and no hard crash at the end of the 5 hours. Too much caffeine for me really puts me out of wack, but I'll promote those 5 hr drinks helped me out on different occasions.

I don't do the caffeine drinks, except coffee. But a power walk during a mandatory break really buys me some time and additional energy. I can be found at two or three in the morning briskly walking around a rest area to gain the necessary stamina needed to finish my shift.

Water water water!!!! I've tried all the rest, energy drinks, coffee, soda, and get the same result. I feel good for twenty minutes and then I crash. Never had that happen with water.
Eating properly helps too. A well balanced diet, eating around the same time every day, and in moderation.
You might go to the doctor and have blood tests done. About two years ago, I was tired all the time. I'd fall asleep mid sentence or at the kitchen table while eating. After some prodding by the wife and my employer, I seen the doc. They found I was seriously low on B12. Couple shots and over the counter supplements later I feel great

For me, if I'm going places covering some ground hell I can work a long time and not get tired. It's the hauling 20-45 loads a day short hauls, I think my all time record was 60 loads hauled in a 8 or 10 hour day hauling on the job site, that's when I start to go crazy after even 6 hours.

Things to do in your spare time (getting loaded, waiting) to keep you from getting bored, cause with me when I get bored is when I get tired.

Clean the inside of your truck
Get out and talk with the guy loading your truck
Help run a shovel or shoot grade if your on a construction job
    Catch up on paperwork

VERY loud music. Blast the AC. Sing along to music. Do in-seat exercises.

I wish I got tired. I'm good for 18hrs a day for 7 or 8 days(I base all days on 6hrs sleep), then I need 8hrs of sleep for a night. In POV, I can't drive 10 miles without getting sleepy, in truck, 1000 miles is not unusual.

I use peppermint oil to help stay awake rub a little on the back of your neck and just a drop or two under your nose. It helps open up your lungs and increases the oxygen your able to take in which refreshes you. Just make sure you use a quality oil, I use Doterra because it's the only brand that is FDA approved for internal use.
