Irving Oil is hiring out of Portland. I would assume the pay and benefits would be good as they deliver to their own stations. It would be one of the first places I would look if I moved back to Maine.

 

When I had my truck leased on with P&H years ago I use to chat with some of there company drivers. They always said Irving was the gig to have up in that neck of the woods. Worth looking into.

 

Another carrier that's growing like a weed around Maine and the seacoast is Dennis K. Burke, Inc. out of Everett, Mass. They are distributors as well as carriers. I load in Newington, NH at Sprague Energy with them constantly. The guys I talk to that work there all say they never had a better job in their life...must be something to it then, either that or they're brainwashed, one of the two, eh?
