HMMM, wondered why you were so quiet lately, thought maybe you got a gubment job. This will be a good test for Ray, as true love is loving an asphalt hauler. Just think, no more pallets,or 6 high, 8 to a layer, not 8 high, 6 to a layer. Make sure that cover is secured open, don't want to suck that tank in, Good luck, dear!
rockyroad74 Thanks this. -
Today folks,I was tore up from the floor up believe me.I couldn't make it up the tanker steps without some severe strength.Think I know the problem, its these god awful clud hopper for boots.Every step felt like I was carrying 50lb weights.Im getting redwings tomorrow and female boots..I had an excellent trainer and he'll be working with me next week as well.I can't get over how nice everyone is and so laid back. This company actually values the drivers.Even though right now the job is very difficult,i'm here for the long haul as long as the company will have me.I'm really liking it,I just need to relax more and quit letting my body get the best of me.I was going to work tomorrow but the way I feel, ain't happening.Right now every muscle is sore big time.Plus im getting different boots tomorrow.
Dinomite Thanks this. -
Ray and I haven't seen each other sinceMonday and he's living here..He works nites not home till after 5 am and by that time i'm on my way to a job site.Only time we'll see eachother is the weekends and sometimes only Sunday. He rather me be home but hes very supportive. You mentioned that covered talk about work.I need to quit working so hard and start using leverage rather then working my self to death.[QUOTE="semi" retired;4164532]HMMM, wondered why you were so quiet lately, thought maybe you got a gubment job. I haul crude oil, not altogether that much different to asphalt. I find the best way to drive it smoothly is to make your gear shift then give it a second before walking into it again.
pattyj and briarhopper Thank this. -
Surprisingly my up shifting, downshifting stopping and braking for almost the entire trip back was near 100% better then it has been. After pumping the asphalt into a tank at the site,we picked up some oil and brought that back to the yard.
