Personal vehicle. Long time lawyer said he could beat it down to 5 over but he wouldn't be in town for the hearing. I was in the honeymoon stages driving a dump and couldn't have imagined working somewhere else or not being satisfied with my current set up.
I went the " cheap route " and didn't take the day from work to get a continuance, go to the next hearing or pay my lawyer for beating it down.

Long story short, lapse in judgement on all counts. Speeding, not listening to my lawyer ( should have known better ), being cheap, short sighted and impatient.

No worries, I still have a good gig it's just that I feel I want to do more than a 24' framed and burning circles all day with less than a 200mi day.

R & J is one part of a much larger company. I can't remember the names of the other two. I think they started in south and have branched out. Just by looking at the equipment I know that I don't want to work there.

American bulk commodities. John Brown trucking and Southern haulers are the two most recent acquisitions.

First off american bulk commodities is the main company. John brown has been part of the company for years and southern haulers are the Alabama boys. Was with r&j for 8 years, left for more money hauling tanks. In Cleveland area still driving mostly 07 macks. Maint on the trucks is put a band-aid on it and run. There CSA score tells it all. Look for something better.

Bump on this. Anyone pulled for them by brokering through them?

Worked there for 8 years as an otr driver out of boardman. I made some very good money there. Over 70k a year. But that was before they went electronic logs. R&J is the parent company. When they bought John brown and southern haulers they formed American bulk commodities. I left because I had bought a truck and went to pulling tankers. I'm actually waiting for an opening at R&J to open up and take my truck over there again. If they don't have an opening soon for an oo I'm going to go to either bones or us bulk
