Alnye out of Cortland and Moravia is always hiring....Mostly for milk but I do see adds for petroleum once in a while.

 

Just saw a recent ad on craigslist arg now paying 25.25 up from 24 a few weeks ago. Have to work 7pm to 7am the experienced guys start ay 7am. You need 2 years experience for 25.25

 

Terpening is a horrible company you can make good money in the busy season but you will starve when it slows down .they don’t have much of there own work There goal is to become a100 truck carrier or better and they will hire anyone . I worked there for 4 years it’s a 100 % dispatch ran company and they want to slip seat every driver if they have there way . The pay scale is set up to take money out of your pocket it’s a split scale of by the mile , by the load and by the hour which equals around 22 a hour but if you don’t run lot of miles or have lot of splits they don’t pay you for another stop so you eat that . Well maintained equipment , don’t try addressing any problems with them because they will do nothing as long as the truck is running that’s all they care . There were guys that had multiple spills , cross drops and accidents but they still had a job because terpening is extremely desperate for drivers . You will run over your hours , jam tanks full because dispatch doesn’t want to hear that it won’t fit stay away run far away . You must have very thick skin to work hear and be the type that will do anything no matter what they say right or wrong cause they will make you pay for not doing as told .

 

arg never heard of it, terpening I spoke to some of them and all they did it was Rochester to bayonne,nj to load and the local guys would take care of it, home every night some one mentioned running doubles up the thruway but I didn't paid too much attention to him

 

Sounds pretty much like the way most of the bulk common carriers are these days.
