Dumping NL over to prem. DON'T DO IT DON'T DO IT LOL. We had a driver do that trying to fix his mix. Notice HAD. Drty Diesel sounds like your working for a common carrier and hauls everybody's product. When your pulling for your own company there a lot of items that come into play that I believe helps you. If we want to split the load and it helps US we might do it. It all depends on who it's for. We pick-up our dispatch and rarely talk to dispatch. If they do change a load they'll send a new dispatch and it's no problem with us. But we get 6 loads a shift and you really have no time to split loads.
How do you load your compartments? ( fuel tanker )

Also that's what I like too is I get my dispatch paperwork and never have to speak to anyone, I just do my work and go home. -
WOW after reading what you guys have to do on mixing gas I dont feel too bad doing home heating oil with a straight truck - no mixing.
I do have 2 compartments dont remember what the sizes are of them (not marked on truck) but I cannot have more than 2700 gals total on the truck to be legal and that is with a full fuel tank too.
I do have valves so I can pump from front or back or both tanks at the same time. Because of the bad weather coming (snow to blizzard) last Friday I pumped mostly from the front tank to put weight on my drives. The boss told me it will handle funny with less weight on the front axle but with less than 1500 on down to 200 gals total it handles funny.

Gotta love fuel! Hey, Gashauler. I've hauled a lot of fuel for BP. I worked for Williams up here in Reno. That was the plus of hauling for BP, load didn't fit (which was rare) you take it elsewhere. Didn't matter to me because I'm paid by the hour anyway lol. I did love the fuel cards they gave us though.

I worked for a common carrier and we did EVERYONES loads and hauled EVERYTHING. I hated hauling Jet Fuel though...

What's wrong with jet fuel?

99% of my loads are USLD, these are around the average.
3300-1300-2900 = 7500 to 7550 in the winter
3350-1350-2950 = 7650 to 7700 in the summer
But it's different from each terminal, the pipelines around here get really cold this time of year. I will usually feel the load arms to try to judge how warm or cold the fuel is. If I keep the NET at 7550 +/- 10gals I know I'm legal and will clear the CO/WY ports. But still be up around 79600, with my drives right at or slightly above 34k, and my trailers right at or slightly below 34k.
When I used to pull a pup, it would be like this...
3050-1000-2950-1000-1400 = 9400 in CO
3050-1200-2950-2000-2200 = 11400 in WY -
