| Re: worst showers I could probably start a mold and mildew farm with the amount of filth in the average TA shower. TA is BY-FAR the worst kept national truckstop chain, imho. K |

| Re: worst showers the poll shoulld have also had, "all the above". they are all bad at times, depends on how many truckstop employee's show up for work that day......... |

| Re: worst showers And other..... Worst I've seen was at the old 10/10 truckstop in Rialto, CA. They call it the I-10 truckstop now. Just as bad is the old Texaco Truckstop in Colton, CA. It is a Beacon now. Both are dives and have scummy showers. I forgot the old Oakland TruckPort in Oakland, CA. It is worse then the other 2.

| Re: worst showers The ABSOLUTE worst shower is at the 49'r in Sacramento, CA. To qualify to get a shower you first must purchase 75 Gal. of fuel. This also qualfies you to 24 hr. free parking. Then when you present your fuel receipt to get a shower they charge you $2.00. Otherwise the charge is $10.00. You must give them $10 to get the key to the shower and you get $8.00 change back afterwards. You are handed a thread-bare towel and washcloth that is so thin you can see the fingerprints on your hand through them. They do not supply a bar of soap nor is there a soap dispenser in the shower. The shower itself is moldy and smells bad. The hot water temperature is a maximum of 85 degrees. Not even skin temperature. Shaving is a chore at that temperature. You shower quickly as it is not very comfortable at 85 degrees. I like it around skin temp. of 90 degrees or higher. The food is very poor quality and priced like a 4 star Michelin restaurant. The clerks at the fuel desk and waitresses seem to act like they are doing you a favor to give you any service. I avoid the 49'r like the plague. Planning my arrival to a pick up or deliver in such a way that I purchase fuel/food/shower elsewhere. Which is hard to do sometimes, but can be done with planning. |

| Re: worst showers The nastiest I've yet to see beyond the typical mold and mildew problem was at the Napoleon Auto/Truck Plaza (now a T/A) in Napoleon, OH off the US 6/US 24 bypass. This shower had nice lil black curly hairs on the floor and even the lower half of the walls. The floor, if it had even been mopped, was done so with a nasty dirty mop. There was no place to set your shaving kit for easy use, meaning you had to put it on the nasty floor and take whatever items you needed out one at a time. And talk about small! OMG, I felt like I was trying to shave/shower inside a broom closet. I almost had to literally face the shower head to get the front side of myself wet and then back out, turn around, and back in to get my back side wet, and I'm not at all a big guy, check my Trucker Spaces profile to see for yourself.

| I think that Loves has the worst Showers they are the most Disgusting looking, second on that list is Pilot they are very small, Petro is ok but my Favorite Place to shower is Flying J's And TA's are just out of the Question for me i boycott them all together There just TOO Disgusting and Dirty, not just the showers but The Restrooms they are never Cleaned and the Parking lot is never Cleaned, and The Pavement is Poor and always Sunk In and Breaking apart, they are just Dirty truck stop chain.. I avoid them at all costs unless i absolutely need fuel
