Update, Bordentown Petro Is Filthy/nasty.

i used to stop here all the time, but no more. There is simply no excuse for the filth, trash pile up, nasty, despicable conditions here. The health department should shut them down.

AND there is a $10 charge to park after 4 hrs. here unless you spend $25 in the store/restaurant or buy minimum 50 gals fuel. The money spent on idle air does not count towards the $25 They want to charge you $10 dollars to park in their toilet?

On a better note, the Flying J about 1 hr south at carney's point is fairly clean and in my opinion the buffet is acceptable; The meatloaf today was, let's put it this way----halfway to orgasm. That's how good it was. This is my new favorite place when running in this area.
Plus, free parking.

So, to sum it up, Flying J whips Bordentown petro's ##### with a belt.

I park up there maybe every 7 weeks, and I never thought that it was like that. Plenty of parking, decent showers, food ok, all in all not bad.

Last time I stopped at Bordentown, after eating dinner and on my way back out to my truck, I stopped to chat-up the I-C Guy (Interstate Connections). He was rude and vulgar. I sent off an email to the company and the next day I got a call from the President of the company....who was raised in East Grand Rapids, MI (as it turns out)....kinda the Gross Point of West Michigan. Anyway it seems that this "manager" at the I-C was getting fired anyway, and this was the reason I was treated like a mangy-dog. The Pres apologized profusely and sent me a "Blue Eagle" Bluetooth head set as an inducement to keep patronizing I-C.

Nice.
I hope my friends here continue to patronize I-C as well, I find MOST of their employees good-natured, smart and possess at least a minimum sense of humor.

Well that kind of puts the faith back in upper management, now doesn't it? Good for him. I'm glad that he recognized your point and made a point to make sure that you remembered his kindness.

The Flying J at Carney's Point is great. We stop there often and it's clean, friendly and good food.

I prefer that lovely T/A in Paulsboro.

As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a decent place for drivers anywhere in the entire state of NJ.

They must have made some improvements on the J in Carney's Point from the last time I was there (about 2 years or more ago).

Not to highjack this thread, but I see you had mentioned Carneys Point, and if you don't mind, would like to see if you can give me any information that I need. I'm looking for a truck stop in Carneys Point Township which was supposedly used to be called Fogs (?) truck stop on Rt. 140 (didn't see 140 on the map, but saw a 130). I can not find it on the net. I need to find this particular truck stop so I can get an exact address & drive up there. If you can help, it would be soooo appreciated. Thanks so much.

We were last there this past summer and it was okay. Don't know if it still is or when they fixed it up a bit - things change so fast it could be filty by now, who knows?

There are three truck stops in Carney

Pilot 6oo Pensville-Auburn Rd, Carneys Point, NJ,
Flying J 326 Slapes Corner Rd, Carneys Point, NJ and
Deep Water Truck Stop Shell Rd, Carneys Point, NJ

Slapes Corner Rd is ALSO SR140 (NOT U.S.130)
