    Hey everyone!

I have been reading these forums for a while now; they have acted as a guide and supplement to my personal research endeavors, whilst on my journey of finding out whether or not trucking is right for me.

I recently made the decision to go ahead and start a career in trucking. Which prompted me to actually create an account here on these forums. I've talked with a few recruiters of trucking companies that offer training and after a bit of discussion I have decided that I am going to seek an accredited school out and pay for training myself. I feel I have more options this way despite paying out of my own pocket; and I will have the opportunity to add onto my CDL by getting a haz-mat endorsement to broaden my options even before I seek employment. Versus signing onto a company, like CR England, and being forced to work with them a minimum of one year for what seems to be one of the lowest paying companies in the industry. Not to mention the recruiters were pushier (more like desperate) than salesman Gil from the Simpsons.

A lot of people have been helpful in my decision by answering my questions, which most people have already asked, on these forums. So I thank everyone that was unknowingly a big influence on me and I look forward to joining the community both over the web here, and on the road (as a competent driver of course).

    See you guys around!

    DeGuzzie

P.S. I'd be thrilled to tell you more about me and how I came to my decision if you have any questions or concerns.
