Hi,
I am a recent CDL graduate with all the endorsements and hope to soon be working for Roehl Transport in their flatbed division. Received a pre-hire while in school and we are just working out the final details in order to schedule an orientation date.
I am a former engineer and retired reserve Marine who got caught up in the bad economy (let go without warning in February this year in a mass layoff) and decided it's time for a major change. I have always been sort of interested in trucking and have numerous family members who have been in the industry for a long time (company drivers and O/Os) so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm getting into. Just tired of the corporate BS after all these years.
I have been lurking on this and a couple of other boards for some time, and it has been very helpful to me in making the decision on who to go with initially. Thanks to all the posters who are willing to share from their vast knowledge and experience to help us newbies!
Hi Y'all - Hoping to be OTR in a few weeks
