Drivers traveling in Iowa this week be aware of the high number of bikes as RAGBRAI. ( Registers Great Bike Ride Across Iowa ) starts it ride across the state. It will start Sunday July 19 in Souix City and end at Davenport the following Saturday. Overnight towns include Mason City, Cedar Fallsl Cedar Rapids ending in Davenport. There are dozens of small towns serving riders with food and beverages. Iowa State Patrol will be directing traffic and detours if needed.

There are over 10,000 registered riders plus another 2000 outlaw riders. Along with bike there are 100's of support vehicles, cars ,busses and RV's. This is the largest bike ride in the world and with heat and fatigue riders may not be on top of their games. There will be lots of traffic a few days after as riders reclaim
gear,go back to the start to pick up cars.

This is just a heads up. Safety is no accident..peace kids. More info; Google RAGBRAI
