I have a T880 as described with a Hendrickson hualmax rubber suspension / in front of the front axle the drive shaft at the balance weights it only has a 4.25" clearance between the drive shaft and the cross member and the drive shaft apparently has been hitting the cross member ( the truck only has 60,000 miles on it and I didn't finf it until it ripped the airvalve lines out ) I think it's a engineering issue but they say it's out of warranty / any thoughts or KW corp. contact info anyone has? desperate to get this rectified,Thanks

When the truck was built did it have different size tires or wheels on ft. axle, or have ft. springs lost their arch?

Can't help on this one unfortunately. I'm a Peterbilt guy - KW is a whole different ball game. If it was Cummins, MX, or trans related I'd be able to help. Chassis side though, nope.

Best I could say is to ask the selling dealer to contact their DSM - and have them investigate. Photos, etc. If its an engineering issue, KW should be able to overlook the fact that it's outside of warranty.

    daf105paccar Thanks this.

All depends on how good or bad your personal experience is.

I have said this before,a lot off what goes wrong with trucks from any brand is not down to the brand but bad mechanics/technicians not knowing what the hell they are doing.
I look at a dealership's quality off work before i choose the brand.

Whose to say that someone didn't change out that crossmember to an improper one after it left the factory? I see stupid stuff like that done by body builders a lot. If OP ever comes back and posts some pictures, we can better understand what's up and see if we can find a solution.
