34hr at Moab

I only know of the two small truck stops in green river, both decent size, one is a pilot dealer, the other a local spot. The other is a7/11 in Thompson. Both places off i70. If there is anything actually in moab, i missed it the last time i went through there

 

There's also a small place down in Monticello the intersection of 491 and 191 i believe. Just a dirty lot behind a store

 

There is no truckstop but there is shoulder that trucker park over night in the north side of town. Also there is couple hotel with truck parking that side also.

 

Hell I'd get a room with truck parking and go do some mountain biking. Do it early in the morning and it's not too hot.

 

Last time i stop moab for couple days, i stay the Motel behind the denny's, they were not terrible expensive and free truck parking. also if you are doing any hiking, you are going to need place that has shower and some air condition. Moab get hot this time of the year.

 

There is a shell gas station just south of Moab, about a mile out, you see trailers dropped there all the time, also see the occasional truck parked there too.

Rooms won't be available this weekend. It will also be really crowded wherever you go in summer but especially holiday weekends.

 

What is the percentage of the truckers out there today capable of mountain biking? I'd bet a boatload it ain't high
