right there behind the ac condenser. is it called the air cooler..or intercooler? anyways...the driver side bottom corner is where its dripping water. it seems its coming from about halfway up...running down and dripping off the corner.

Ok, Well, it is normal to have condensation form in the air to air. (intercoolers use engine coolant to cool intake charged air). Check your dipstick for any green/gray snot on it. This will form when coolant mixes with oil in the crankcase.

he said definitely something is getting in there. the oil was just real dark and thick...but didnt see any milky look to it. i opened oil fill tube and did scrape this crap out with my finger.

one more i did want to add...when i first drained the radiator when i pulled it to get rebuilt...there was about a gallon or 2 of oil that came out after the water and coolant drained.

Oil into coolant? I would suggest getting the oil cooler checked.

do you think a faulty oil cooler would cause me to lose 3 gallons a day?

A faulty oil cooler could be the reason you're seeing oil in the radiator.

right. i prob should have mentioned that early on. but could the oil cooler also cause loss of coolant..especially that much? or am i likely looking at more than 1 problem...?

Remove one of the rocker covers. If you find green/gray snot on the underside you definitely have coolant leaking internally. 3 gallons a day would ruin the oil in one day and show up big time on your analysis. You are likely burning it from a failed injector cup/cracked head. Put your rad pressure tester back on, do not pressurize it. Run the engine up to temp and see if the coolant pressure builds beyond 10 psi before it is up to temp.

ok. i warmed up the truck until about 175-180ish (which is the normal temp when coolant is full) and it only got to about 5 psi
