I just hate the idea of competing with company trucks . On pct. They'll always award the highest paying loads to their own units

 

I agree.. But I have yet to be put in that situation here. Majority of trucks here are lease ops. I want to say 40-60 company units out of 250 is what I remember hearing.

 

That's pretty high ratio . That works

 

I am just happy that they are letting me go company driver at first so that I can see how they are and that they will just wait until a in house truck is available so that I know that I do not have to deal with Quality. I know that it will be not new, maybe a 2014 or 15, but it is in house and taken care of by them, and the payments will be less

 

You would be better off buying your own. Plenty of 50k trucks out there to make money with.

 

I know what I am doing. I am retiring in about 3 years. like I have said, in my 20+ years, this is not my first rodeo
