Yep they have the I shift... Personally would rather a regular 13spd but it's manageable.
Got off to a ok start. Ended up on some 1.30 freight.. Figured because I was new. I just got off a ice cream load paying 2.10/mile but orv goofed up the appointment at Walmart and I sat on it two extra days.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
I have been pulling reefers for 14 years. 12 years with my own trucks.

Oh crap. Hate wal mart you should talk to Tim and get detention or layover or something. As it was Orv's fault . I leased ila 2013 Kenworth with a 13 speed so I'm with you on that. I've been out here for 22 years got divorced a couple years ago and got back in the game quit my linehaul job , spent most of 2014 working for truck movers delivering piggybacked sets. I had not been in reefers since 1995 when I left FFE, except for drop and hook on a linehaul. I always try to get into California because produce usually pays well especially AWG loads. One or two picks , drop and hook , pays 1.90 up usually to the truck . I don't know if I have ever found the best paying lanes here but I stick to Midwest and West because I got married again and I tried to get home as much as possible so my new wife doesn't run off on me LOL. I know that midwest to West will pay anywhere from a dollar 40 to a dollar 60 usually . I did really well in November and December and January, about 10,000 to 12,000 pretax net each month, but I've taken some time off here and there but had to get back in the groove again. I guess if you're willing to run all over to basically tell them you want to go with the best paying freight is lol . I do really well when I get a short 300 or so in between load, it's like extra gravy . I always call the next dispatcher in advance tell him when I'm delivering basically just find me the best load out of there

And if you have a Tuesday appointment and you can move it up to Monday always do it so that you get that chip in for the week

Yep that's what I have been doing. I call as soon as I know where I'm delivering.
I tried to call Tim today on my way home but he wasn't there. Will try tomorrow.
The one thing I can't stand here is how the forced the new trucks into elogs.
Dan told me only way to get rid of them was to turn in my truck. I told him ok, so what are my options to get another truck?
I was sold the new truck right away and never given info on the used ones.

Ah crap. Yea they offered me E logs but I'm running on loose leaf. Tim's old-school I'm sure he will help you out. When I first called him last summer all he had was an old 2011 Freight Liner so I waited a few months till he sold his kenworths . Four years no balloon and I heard the volvos wree 36 months with a 45 k ballon . I just figure the truck will still be worth around 60 when I'm done so it's an equity investment . Find out if he's got some old ones left , I think road runner pushed those on him , the KW's are his
