It was snowing on US 6 in Nevada just before the California state line. It was getting pretty slippery on top of Montgomery Pass, as I started my way down, I eased off and decided 25 was fast enough due to road conditions. Coming around a corner, there's a single screw LTL that spun out coming up, who was now in both east and west bound lanes. It took everything I had to not hit him when I started sliding.

Trying to reach other trucks on the CB was pointless. Guys, it's that time of year! Put the radio on! Those guys would have had more time to react had they known what was happening. Not sure if anyone hit him, but they could have been better prepared.

I wish they would outlaw those stupid single axle trucks. They cause too many problems

It's a tool we've used for decades and now these idiots think it's too much to ask.

No, most are to broke to afford a 100$ radio. Sorry but the people working at CR England are making less then a Wendys flipper on fatboy appreciation day.

not my problem. When I started I bought two things. A CB and an atlas. To this day those are the two things I refuse to do this job without.

And a truck stop guide, tread depth gauge, tire pressure gauge, had a small sledge I still use for a thumper, brought my own tools and flashlight.

It amazed me to this day how many don't have any tools, can't change a headlight, can't read a map....... It's wild.

The flash light is what gets me. I have extra lamps for it, its a rechargeable. How does one head out without a flashlight? lmfao
