Beware hauling any loads for this brokerage company....we just hauled a load of steel pipe for them down into Texas. Nowhere on any of our paperwork did it say do not use chains to secure load, we even got the ok from the shipper to use chains. When we get to the receiver first thing out of their mouths is " who said you could use chains, our instructions clearly say no chains to be used". Well turns out those were instructions that the freight broker failed to relay to us, the carrier. We have now been hit with a claim on our insurance....so please beware of Acme Freight Brokers, they fail to pass on important information then cover their own ### by passing the buck!

I'm not doing flatbed, but do the pipes get damaged when you use chains? Were they damaged this very time, when you brought them in to the receiver? If not, maybe it's worth to take it to the court as an insurance fraud.

Alot of pipe might have a coating on them. You nick the coating and now it's trash. Needs to be re coated. Thin wall pipe can get nicked or buckled also
