Most every tanker outfit has terminals in Alabama. They all pay well. Friend of mine worked at one in Mobile hauling peroxide and made over a grand a week.
Just in Decatur there's these and probably more:
    Carry Transit
    A&R Logistics
    Tidewater Transit

    McKenzie Tank Lines in Mobile.
    SVTN in Saraland,AL

    diesellover22 Thanks this.

Alabama as a state has some lower national numbers but there are places you can live in Alabama that are ridiculously high compared to other places in Alabama. What I'm trying to say is it's all dependent on specifics not statewide. Point is, your home twenty is probably irrelevant in the broader picture.

I'd consider relocation if my entire family didn't live here. And there was no humidity out there.

If saving money on housing is the most important thing, try getting on a work release program. (that is a penal joke for all you non felons)
