We aren't going to discuss casinos. Too many of them elsewhere, but not just anyplace has a boardwalk AND A BEACH.
If you want to play the slots, pretty much any truck stop and bar in IL has slots in a game room, and then you also have the 'private' places in PA and most likely other places.
This brings to mind the story of the grocery store butcher from PA who took his check to the casino and lost it and robbed a bank to pay his bills and was caught in another casino gambling. 3% of the population has a problem of magnitude with gambling, but I don't on my own.
Am I the only one left who likes outdated decor?

You'd love the Triple T in Tucson. I don't think they've renovated since the Smokey and the Bandit days.

Triple T seems to be as busy as ever. Pilot will get the big box companies of course but plenty of independents still out there.
Having the Pilot nearby hasn't killed the Tennessean -
