Hi folks.
Anyone here have an APU to recommend or an auxiliary heat and ac combo that will fit a Western Star with a Cottrell 3 Car Cs headrack??? Truck will run Montreal to Calgary and Edmonton. Fuel tanks are standard left side split 90/30 and right side 120. Not sure if there is room for an APU.

Room for APU but you won't have drop pockets behind the bunk unless you find a way to stuff it somewhere else. Seen a couple done this way. Diversified automotive has chop top 114SD freightliners with a small sleeper, apu, and drop pockets. Depends on design.

Honestly if you're running that route you're not really gonna need an APU. a simple bunk / engine heater will do fine for most of the year. Just the 2 months in summer will you need the Aux ac. That's why you don't see alot of us with APU's up here. It's kinda an added expense that we dont see the benefits of

We had a Pete with an APU mounted on the passenger side saddle box, the one below the door. If your fuel tank is located rearward of the cab, you can do the same with a WS
