Recruiter told us to get our own. At the academy they send you for another physical if there's a problem with the one you paid for.

Here's a tip, when you get the physical make sure they mark CDL - yes and INTERSTATE ONLY - NO on your forms.

 

I may be mistaken, but shouldn't that be INTRASTATE?

Intrastate is only within one state, while interstate crosses state borders.

 

When I went for orientation we were required to get a new physical, even with a valid current one.

I don't think there is any reason to pay for a private physical when you will be required to go through it again, unless you want to pay for one just to make sure you would pass.

What 'security' did you call at Swift? It's not like there are guards there.

 

Security??? Really??? Come on man, what in the world would security have to do with you getting a driving test after you have gone thru the academy?

 

Two months after you pass the acadamy they test you for your cdl ? You have to get your cdl before you can go out with your mentor, right ?

 

I think Swift dodged a bullet here.
