Assign Shipment

I've used it several times while it was in the trial period. It works well for cancellations or if you just need to slip one in. They are fast getting it added to your workflow. I like it.

 

I tried it once (while they were in testing and offered it to some ICs) and didn't work out.

While the idea is good, it's not instant.
So for me by the time they got around to it the load was already gone.
Good loads don't sit, period.
What they should do is enable us to be able change around our loads easily without having to go through a middle man.

When you use this new option to assign a new shipment in between assigned loads it doesn't happen right away, it goes through a Schneider middle man and Schneider themselves even say "it could take up to 30 min".

So all it is basically is a request.
If someone else assigns the load to themselves before the request is looked at and processed you're poop outta luck.
Happened to me before, it sucks.
I hate being beat to loads.

If you wanna fill in with cheap freight you have better luck for it to work out and you'll save some time by not having to call in.
It's a step in the right direction but doesn't solve everything.

 

Everyone I've talked to that used it it's taking less than two minutes to get it put on

 

I just use the phone.

 

I think it will lead to drivers cherry picking the best loads and then using that option to fill in between.

I was one of the "testers" and never had a need to use it. Imagine that a load never cancelled for me to try it out but I did send in my concerns on it being abused.

If they let us insert a load they should also let us remove a load.

That would be a useful tool.
